Great day to take a drive and the place we are camping in is a great place to make a complete drive around the mountain. Along the way we will stop and take a look at Bonneville Dam and Multnomah Falls The tallest falls in Oregon. I would like to make a comment on the general upkeep on all the public areas we have seen in this state. I am have been running around in their forests for a couple of weeks now and I have not to my recollection seen any liter whatsoever. Not a stray paper cup, not a napkin not anything. Now while their parks are not completly handicapped compliant they are spotless. Walking thru a forrest here can be a spiritual experience and will relax you at the very least. That is if you will let it. click on image for more pictures and other information about the Mount Hood National Forest.

We are trying to catch up and get into a steady groove with producing our pictures and videos a bit faster. It is not easy being on the road and having to do everything. Miss Lynns needs will always come first. Keep coming back at least every week so you can keep up with our trip. I understand it is a little dry but it will get better as we find our footing.

ABOUT ROADDOGS

So here we are. After talking about and planning for years, we are about to live full time the Roaddog way. I have been put on disability because my physical condition has finally eroded to the point that I can no longer work and Miss Lynn is dealing with some issues that is going to retire her early as well. So now what? We have been building this site over the years without promoting it so when we went to it full time in retirement we wanted to have lots of stuff to show you from day 1. Now here it is time to start putting the dream into action and I am living in severe chronic pain. So much pain it has forced me out of the workforce and severely hampered my life. Since it will be with me for the rest of my life it has brought me to a crossroad.

Do I give up and retire to a recliner to spend this last phase of life watching the Wire for the tenth time and streaming videos? Or do I say damn the torpedoes! Full speed ahead and do my best to continue this site as my condition permits?

I am glad to report we have decided to die with memories rather than die with dreams. We are going to give it a try and hit the road on the ultimate road trip. So today I am announcing "THE GREAT GYPSY ADVENTURE" Thats right we have purchased an RV and we are going to head out in late March for a 2 year adventure. It is finally time to start promoting this site so share, like, and subscribe to our videos on youtube and our pictures on instagram. (You can find us under bigbadroaddog) And since I am disabled we will be taking an extra look at how the disabled are accommodated at the places we visit. I might be crazy trying this with the amount of pain I live with. Not to mention the hard road Miss Lynn is traveling. But I figure I can deal with the pain just as easy sitting on the edge of the Grand Canyon as I can sitting in my living room streaming Netflix. And if you think about it, if not now, When?

I am not pretending to be some great writer, (if you explore further you will soon see how accurate that statement is.) I am not here to help you find a cheaper airline flight or hotel room. There are plenty of sites for that. Miss Lynn and I are here to show you the world that we see as we wander through this last phase of life. The creator has provided us a fantastic, bizarre and beautiful world and we want to see and show you as much of it as possible. Now that we have been forced into retirement and have become full time Roaddogs, I will continue to add to the site as I am able.

It is a nice dream. I hope you come along for the journey.

We can't seem to get a urinoligist appointment until August so we are going to travel as planned until then. We shifted other appointments up 1 month so we will be heading back to LA in July.

We were able to get out today and visit the Silver Falls State Park, and what a hidden treasure. I had read about the ten falls trail and wanted to check it out. What a beautiful place this turned out to be. Click the image below for more photos of this wonderful place.

I have not posted much the last while. Two disabled people traveling around together is tough and the last couple weeks has been exactly that TOUGH. Miss Lynn has not had any improvement in her balance or cognative abilities and watching my beautiful wife going through this is heartbreaking. I had to take her to the emergency room with stomach pains the other night and part of the exam included a catscan the revealed a 3.7 CM mass on her kidney that should be checked out ASAP. That means returning to LA a month earlier than expected. So I hope all off our followers will be patient at the rate and format our site develops. Keep coming back we will have new stuff all the time.

Miss Lynn and myself have been parked at Thousand Trails outside of Bend Oregon. This particular resort struggles with their online rating of 7.5O That is because they do not have individual sewage disposal at each RV site and their store is closed. I personally found it to be clean, quiet and full of people. Just what we like to see. Our travels this week have been driving around and exploring Newberry National Volcanic Monument and I am working on a nice little video highlighting places like Tumalo Falls, Paulina falls and Paulina lake. The Newberry caldera has a lot to see. We will also show you the entrance to Lava River Cave.

Today we finally finished the video for the sawtooth mountains from our visit last week. Overall I was a little disapointed with the quantity and quality of our photos on this day. However each new day brings fresh hope.
