I cannot beleive it but the storage locker was broke into again!!! We went by to look real good at what was taken the first time only to discover it was broke into once again. Looks like they got not only Lynns good jewelry, our silver and our electric bike. Just as that violated feeling was starting to leave and WHAM we get hit with it again. We need to file a claim but the flyer they gave us as to what is covered shows we might get screwed. We will keep you posted.

So the halfway mark for our DR appointments. Can't wait to get back on the road and some real adventures. The weekend is back around and we are going to meet 2 of our dearest friends for lunch. My buddy Enzo and his mom Alicyn. They lived next door to us for many years and we miss them a lot. Hopefully though Enzo will be meeting us along the road later in the summer and travel back with us for the next round of DR appointments in august. Enzo will be 15 in July and he is growing up a fine young man.
I am looking forward to seeing him.
A little update about Miss Lynn. Her balance, cognative issues and motor skills continue to erode but we have found a way to minimize her falls and as a result her bruises are starting to heal. I hold her hand and lead her to the restroom or anywhere she needs to go. It does take more of my time and attention but that is a small price to pay to keep her from falling. Parkinsons in any of its forms is a devistaing disease and I strongly urge everyone seeing this to donate to one of the many Parkinson charities out there. Micheal J. Fox has a good one and you can access that here. Micheal J. Fox foundation. You can learn a lot by checking out the expert insitute. I will continue to update you on Miss Lynns battle and my battle with pain.

I know I have pointed
out before but the fantasy of living on the road and the realities of it are 2 diferent things. Living on the road the way we are is fantastic. I love having your backgrounds change every few days. I have also pointed out that RVs are realy built cheap and maintenance is a constant thing. It seems like every few days there is something breaking. The other day the toilet seat broke. Today there is a leak in the hot water line and I am not sure exactly how to fix that one. That means a trip to camping world and a day lost. We are halfway thru our DR appointmeents so when can we get to camping world? This gypsy stuff is tricky and involves open ended logistics. You have to be able to adjust all aspects of your travel and what you expect from that day.

I didn't post anything yesterday because I am quite frankly pissed off that someone has stole from me. Not cool in any way shape or form. And I hate this feeling. Hope it passes quickly. Our start has been a little rough but it has been a whole lot of fun and we have seen some real interesting things. We haven't posted much video but that is because I recently switched over to the Iphone and have been having trouble accessing the video files. I will get the bugs worked out and start posting much more video very soon.
We are staying outside of the San Fernando valley in Acton. Our membership in the Thousand Trails RV camps are paying for them selves fast. They have all been clean quiet and offer full hook ups. We will be staying here until next week on the 23rd. It is going to be a challenge getting you some good photos but I will try. most of our time is going to be spent driving back and forth and reporting to doctors so don't get discouraged for lack of great photos posted here until next weeks end. Still trying to hit the right stride and those constant check ins will show the whole story.

Went out to the storage spaces today and I am still not clear if anything was took. So far it looks like they got Lynns jewelry box
and our silver. It is a real good thing that we sold our gold and the more pricey jewelry. So while the loss could still be in the thousands it is a lot less than if we never sold anything. We still feel violated but it could be a lot worse. Tomorrow we start 2 weeks of doctor appointments. I am hoping for some good news about Lynn. She has fallen a lot less these last few weeks and her bruises are starting to heal but it is mainly because I have been there to walk her back and forth from the couch and the restroom or car. I think she is still slipping away and it is a sad thing to observe.

Moving day from Leo Carrillo to Thousnad Trails Acton. Packing up has become a lot easier. Hooking up the Jeep has as well. This RV park is quite nice and has a good choice of campsites. They are having a RV show and some other stuff here tomorrow, Mothers day. I hope we have a chance to see some of it, we discovered today our Storage Space was broke into so we will be spending some time there tomorrow seeing what is missing.

Lynn and I have traveled this portion of the PCH many times. Before our great adventure we would drive this portion of highway a few times per month and have many pics and today I took a few new clicks to show you. Click on image below to see todays pics.

So here we are waking up at Leo Carrillo State Park. Our first stay in a California state park and I must say it is a big difference from the private RV park. In the KOA's or Thousand Trails parks it is very quiet. Mostly because these parks have rules about too much noise. Whereas the state and federal parks have quiet hours but the only rule seems to be "be polite" so the park is a much more active place with noises all mixing together. People talking, fires crackling, babies crying it is a very interesting experence. If you are overly sensitive to lifes sounds, camping in this type of environment is not for you. I find it warm and peaceful. We are staying for 3 days just killing time until we go back to Thousand Trails Acton for a couple of weeks. I need to see the pain doctor and Miss Lynn needs to see a few doctors and see where she is at in her battle. I know she won't be going back to work anytime soon. Her balance issues are deeply rooted and are extreme. She needs to be led into the bathroom and requires help in all aspects of life. It is a challenge to keep on top of things for her. So far this internet site has not got up to level I want. Don't worry though we are slowly getting up to speed and all the juggling I am doing will pay off in the long run. So continue to hit us daily and you will start having the types of information I would like to pass on. Click on the image below to see todays pics

I had a particular spot on the beach in Ventura on my mind as we left Bonelli Bluffs. Miss Lynn and myself would drive the coast highway a lot before our Gypsy adventure. Between Point Magu and Santa Monica it is a nice drive and it would get us out of the house. The whole COVID lock down turned a lot of people in to hermits and now they just don't get out. Lynn and I always commented on how when we got our RV we could spend a lot of time there. I do not know where the notion of they also being free came from, but I had that notion. So we took the morning and drove to Ventura, picked out a spot leveled the RV, slid out the slide outs and then hung out. Around 4 Miss Lynn decided she was hungry and wanted to go into town for dinner. As we drove there I noticed a sign that set off bells. It looked like a fee chart and payment instructions. At first I did not pay too much attention to it but it began to eat at me over dinner and I began to have visions of me getting back to the RV and it being towed away. On our return I stopped at the sign and it was a notice that the spaces were not free and required a reservation. The RV had not been towed and now it was late afternoon and we needed a space for the night. Luckily Miss Lynn was able to get us 3 days at Leo Carrillo State park. I like staying at State of California or federal parks as they give disabled people half price. Doesn't make up for being disabled but a nice gesture from the powers that be. Leo Carrillo was a great actor, conservationalist and political cartoonist.

We decided to take 1 more day here at the Bonelli Bluffs RV park. That is the great thing about this kind of life style, if you don't want to move you do not have to. But we did visit the Frank Bonelli Regional Park here at Puddingstone lake. It is Monday morning so not a lot of visitors but the photos do show a nice little park with a lot of activities. Check before you go because they sometimes have algae blooms and the water activities get shut down. Still a nice place for a hike or a picnic. Clck on the image below to see todays pics.

Had to take another day at Bonelli Bluffs RV resort. Besides a great RV park I just needed the extra day rest. One of the things I have learned is that this type of lifestyle is Extremily taxing on the old bodies like mine. Miss Lynn is not doing as well as we hoped and I have to help her with all aspects of life. And when you add in the pain that I live with. Let us say Life is a little challenging these days. If I were asked if I regret the life change? I would reply, Not for a second. Both mine and Lynns handicaps would be the same regardless of whether we are wandering around the U.S. or in front of the tv streaming Netflix. Since we purchased a traveling wi-fi Netflix has come along with the RV. So sorry no pics today but tomorrow we head out to the beach for a few days. Then back to Thousand Trails for a couple of weeks DR. appointments.

We headed down highway 15 turned onto the 210 heading west. We were going to go clear up to Oxnard and spend the week on the beach, but no rush getting there because a storm was moving in, so we decided to pull into a RV park and just relax until monday and then see what the beach looks like at that time. We pulled into the Bonelli Bluffs RV Resort and Campground. Miss Lynn and I have only been doing this for a little over a month and have only been in a few RV parks but so far this has been the best. See image below.

The weather reports were saying that a lot of wind was coming our way. Good thing
it gave us 24 hours to get out of the way. We are heading back to Los Angeles for our quarterly DR. appointments and spent the night at the Loves gas station. Sorry Kiddies no photos today.

We left the Vegas Thousand Trails around 10 and headed north. I had recently heard of a place called Cathedral Gorge State Park. It is located about 2-1/2 hours northeast of Vegas. Turned out to be a very interesting place. Its hoo doos remind in a lot of ways like what we saw on the first day of our adventure at Red Rock Canyon in California. Its shapes however are unique from other Hoo Doos we have seen thus far. It was a long and desolate drive getting here but well worth the time and trouble.
