6-26-2024 We ran across a little state park called Silver Falls State Park that had a feature called the Ten Falls Trail which sounded pretty cool. Just had to drive out and have a look. I didn't know what to expect because it didn't take up much space on the map. Finding this place was quite a surprise. It is perfect for a hike and picnic lunch. The trails are close to Handicapped standards but not quite, so if you have disabilities it is possible to access this park but it will be a challenge from the get go. If you have limitations I encoursge you to try the parks trails and push your limits it wil be well worth it.

Miss Lynn at the entrance of Silver Falls State Park. I find it incredible how clean this park is.

A view of the Lodge.

Another view of the lodge. Nice rustic building that has been maintained well.

View from lodge patio looking out towards the trails.

View of the trail. While it is flat and smooth for the most part it is still far from meeting handicapped accessible standards.

The last fall on the 10 fall trail or perhaps the first fall?

First fall on the 10 fall trail or perhaps the last fall?

A beautiful random shot along the trail.

Another beautiful random shot along the trail.

Miss Lynn was able to make it to the first falls with her walker without too much additional effort but would not be able to make it to the last falls. That trail while is not overly strenous for the average bear but is tricky for people with limitations. I was able to hike to both the first and last falls without any real hardship. I would love to return and hike the whole 10 fall trail. I know already that would cost me some major pain after it was over but judging by these photos it would be well worth it.
