Crater lake is the deepest lake in the United states and in the top 10 list for deepest lakes in the world. It is renowned for its deep blue color and the purity of its water. Crater lake was formed when Mount Mazama collapsed During a very powerful eruption leaving the large caldera that has since filled up with water giving us with this beautiful lake.

Miss Lynn and I came thru in 20017 during the great American Eclipse adventure. There were many wildfires that year which gave us some very hazy pictures. Have no fear though we plan to returning someday soon and promise new great pictures for your enjoyment.

A look at some of the sheer cliffs left over from the collapse of Mount Mazama

A very hazy view of Wizard Island. You can take a boat tour as long as you can traverse the trail down to the waters edge.

Another hazy view of the lake.

I can see us but where is the lake?

The lovely Miss Lynn with a very hazy Wizard island in the background

This picture highlights the extreme growing conditions that exist here.

The Rogue river is a wild place. At times it completely disappears underground into the many lava tubes left over from the many eruptions of this magnificent mountain.
