MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!! Day 6 already. Since it is Christmas and most things are closed. We have decided to hang out around the pool and drink heavily. I undestood that curried goat is a traditional Jamaican Christmas dinner and I was really looking forward for that on Christmas. I asked one of the servers if it was being served at the resort. He checked and said it would served on Thursday but not today. Thursday being the day we leave meant I wouldn't get a chance to have it. About half way through breakfast this young man came back over to my table and said he had arranged for me to have curried goat for lunch and what time would I like to eat.

WOW!

I have to say that every person that worked for Sandals that we had interactions with was top notch and I feel they are always looking for ways to give the guest a first rate experience.

Brad and Nicky brought blow up Chistmas floating toys for the pool and they turned out o be a big hit. One thing we noticed about people that typically travel over the Christmas holidays. They like to bring some sort of Christmas cheer with them. We saw many people who brought lights and other decorations for their windows. Today by the pool there were a group that decorated their umbrellas. It was a lovely day to be by the pool. When it was time we went and had our curried goat and it was everything I could have wanted.

Like I said we were drinking this day and maybe I shouldn't have but we challenged a couple, who were playing basketball in the pool, to a best 2 out of 3 game of horse. Their names were Jeana and Jeff and they were from Calgary, Canada. Well Much to my everlasting shame, and let me first appologize to all of America, THE CANADIANS WHOOPED OUR ASS. Sorry America I let you down.

All and all It was a very Merry Christmas (Except that basketball part) and well worth spending the day and relaxing and drinking with new friends. I really wanted to have a final drink with Nicky and Brad, and tried to catch up wih them that evening at both the Itallian place and the martini bar but missed them and unfortunatley did run across hem the last 2 days of the trip. Maybe we will catch up with them on another trip. Brad works for an airline so they are well worn travelers. (No it is not Spirit) Have I mentioned today not to fly Spirit Airlines? And another couple I want to catch up with is those Canadians that whooped our ass in basketball. I won't be dinking next time! :)

I certainly recomend Christmas at Sandals in Jamaica!
