Day 4 starts with me shaking my head about the luggage. I checked in with the lobby and of course it was not there. As I mentioned before the airline did not even call and update us yesterday So I am considering it a lost cause. I am still going to call them right at 12 but I have resigned my self to come up with another plan. I don't just want to give up and lay around the pool for the next 5 days drinking.

On this particular day we met Brad and Nicky a lovely couple from Denver who made the morning around the pool into a lovely time. It is always good meeting new people and on this trip we would meet many.

The morning flew by as we chatted with this fantastic couple and as noon approached it was time to try and get a hold of the airline. I felt it was a little like banging my head against the wall at this point but I was still going to try.
When we arrived at the room there was a message light on the phone. It was not the airline but a message saying one of our trips had been approved for the next day. Not the good news I was hoping for but good news none the less. Then when I called the airline I actually got through but they told me the bag had already been delivered last night. When I explained that was not the case because I had already checked with the lobby they asked me to call back in 5 minutes. I knew how that would turn out and instead of calling back I headed straight over to the lobby. I was floored when they told me it had arrived and was on its way to my room.

Those 2 little things really lifted the shadow that was hanging over the trip to that point. I decided to also bite the bullet and hire a taxi to get us up to at least the Sandals in Negril. That is when I heard they had what they called the Going Native Tour which took you to Negril for a little shopping, then over to the Sandals Negril for 4 hours and then off to Ricks Cafe for sunset and cliff diving. And it was actually less money per person than hiring the cab. So I canceled he other 2 trips that were still pending approval and signed up for this.

My happy face

Now we were talking. At least we would have 2 days outside of the walls of the resort. Not exactly as planned but it should help salvage our trip.

So with that we continued the afternoon in eating and drinking as before but now the mood was lighter, the food tasted better and the drink flowed easier than before. The day definitely ended on a high note.
