Border to Border Day 12

We find ourselves in San Francisco on the morning of day 12. We had a great day and evening here in Frisco and now it was time to fight the traffic and leave town. We had decided to drop over to the coast and head down the pacific coast highway 1.
This is a road we know all to well. Lynn and I have traveled it many times together. In fact one of our earlier videos highlighted this section of the state and now we will show a little more.

This portion of road winds along the coast and goes from areas not far off the water to places high along the cliff. There are rock slides, road closures and many other obstacles that nature can throw at you. The thing to remember first and foremost to take your time. This road will take you through places like Monterey, Carmel and San Simeon. There are many turnouts and state recreation areas, nature trails and wildlife. The ocean off this coast is a protected marine reserve so it is as close as your going to come to unspoiled beauty.

Our destination for today is the Ragged Point Inn. It is where Lynn and I spent our honeymoon and it is the place we go for many a road trip.
